KVH construction wood
KVH is a construction lumber made of conifers. It is the certified product with a monitored quality and clearly defined properties.
KVH is prevailingly used for structures the cross-section of which is determined by carrying capacity (according to DIN 4074-1 standard).
KVH is produced using the continuous moulding method.
KVH wood humidity is 15% (+/- 3%).
It meets the requirements of modern wood-framed buildings.
Technically dried wood is a crucial precondition for avoiding the necessity of the use of preventive chemical wood conservation. The technical wood drying process reduces the risk of cracks and removes the attractions for insects otherwise present in the wood.
KVH wood application
KVH construction wood is used mainly in the following fields:
- Carrying and reinforced wooden structures, e.g. supports and beams, roof trusses and spars, brackets and frames of wall, ceiling and roof elements
- Visible structural elements with great demands for aesthetics (KVH Si)
- The structural elements that should be free of the chemical wood conservation and the elements with high requirements from the point of view of dimensional stability
KVH wood is made in two versions for:
1. fair face structures (Si)
2. hidden (non-fair face) structures (NSi)
Wood is renewable raw material. Its application and disposal does not strain environment. It has the implicit thermal insulation benefits.
The ration of weight to the strength properties and price predetermines it for a wide range of application.
