Environment protection, energy saving and renewable resource use - all these are the relevant trends of these days and the future.
The reduction of the energy-demandingness of buildings is the current trend and Slovakia tries to pick it up.
The economic benefit of the costs of heating and water-heating to one-fifth or even less when compared to the current new building is surely similarly convincing motivation as environment protection. However, higher quality of the interior of energy-efficient buildings, better quality of living and more healthy environment surrounding us worth mentioning as well.
This trend of low-energy and bio-passive house construction is significantly supported by the European Union these days.
However, there is just a small percentage of low-energy structures in Slovakia. We significantly fall behind more developed countries, such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, etc.
The mission of the web page is to familiarize the public and to bring information on the advantages of low-energy and bio-passive houses.
Our own experience says just a small portion of the inhabitants of Slovakia has the up-to-date information on the topic, or the information is incomplete and misrepresented.
The majority of people can image a small log house when hearing the term "low-energy structure". It is just one of the options, yet not the only one.
Nowadays, we are able to build a bio-passive house that cannot be distinguished form the common bricked building at first glance. But the energy and heating costs may be just one-fifth one or even smaller.
With regards to the contemporary price development, such structures become profit-making with short returnability of invested funds.
